Welcome

Welcome to the Weybridge Sure Start Children's Centre website. The centre is governed by Grovelands School, Walton and funded by the Department for Education.

The Children's Centre offers many services and opportunities for families with children of 0-5 years. These services represent the core purpose of children's Centres, as detailed in the Sure Start Children's Centre Statutory Guidance 2012 "to improve outcomes for young children and their families, with a particular focus on families in greatest need of support, In order to reduce inequalities in child development and school readiness; parenting aspirations, self-esteem and parenting skills; and child and family life chances." At the heart of our services is a vision of community cohesion; a community where no one is left out, overlooked or isolated.

The Weybridge Sure Start Children's Centre offers advice and information about:

  • Health and education services
  • Local childcare and school readiness
  • Training and employment opportunities for adults
  • Parenting issues

As well as lots of play for children, our particular focus is on emotional well-being for all members of the family; because when we are emotionally happy people, chances are we will have a happy family life. By caring for each other, sharing with each other and learning together, the centre staff promote an inclusive community where all are welcome. Come and join us!
